“Awash is the result of a meandering journey around Iceland in 2012. I set out to shoot amongst the traditional beauty of Iceland, but soon came to find many of the blank spaces in between destinations were what struck me the most. As we crisscrossed the island, we passed through barren awash with light and at times almost in . It was in these places of nothing that this series was born.”
